Studio One, home of Ballets Metropolis, is dedicated to providing excellence in dance education and performance opportunities for students beginner through professional. Instruction is offered for students of all ages. Beginning teenage students are encouraged to participate without prior training and adults of all ages are welcome. Studio One also offers private lessons and coaching. Our goal is to teach body confidence and promote self-esteem through discipline, determination and perseverance. Whether a beginning student, pre-professional, professional or recreational dancer, Studio One believes in nurturing all students. Established in 2005, Studio One is happy to be a part of the Berkshire Artistic Community |

Nao Kusuzaki, a first soloist with Houston Ballet and an international Guest Artist invited to Japan, Canada, Spain, as well as New York, Boston, Florida, and across Texas, will be featured in Ballet Metropolis' Fall Gala for the first time. With Houston Ballet, she continues to perform leading roles in major ballet productions such as Nikiya in La Bayadere, Lilac Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, Suzuki inMadame Butterfly, Sugarplum Fairy and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Emeralds in Balanchine's Jewels, as well as neoclassical and contemporary ballets by renowned choreographers such as Jiri Kylian, William Forsythe, Twyla Tharp, Stanton Welch, Jerome Robbins, Christopher Wheeldon, and Kenneth McMillan. Most recently, she organized and performed to great success in a benefit concert featuring dancers of Houston Ballet in response to the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Nao received her training at Yatsuzuka Ballet School in Ehime, Japan, Washington School of Ballet in Washington D.C., and Boston Ballet School before joining Boston Ballet Company where she danced for 5 seasons. She is thrilled to dance with Ballet Metropolis and return to Massachusetts where she still calls home. |
